Mazarrón is set in a wide bay that opens up into the Mediterranean and, mainly because of its 35km of beaches (including nudist beaches) and coves, is one of the most popular townships on the Costa Cálida. It has two important urban centres: the port(puerto de Mazarrón) and the town capital which is only five kilometres from the coast.
